Welcome to the Stewart Company
Company Registration Number: 399253 The Stewart Company has been a successful UK producer of injection and rotationally moulded products for over 60 years. The Stewart brand is widely recognised in the gardening, homewares, catering and packaging sectors. The company was listed on the London Stock Exchange up until 1985 when it was acquired by Bunzl plc for £30m. Stewart was subsequently sold to a venture capital backed Institutional buy out in 1999 and then some three years later to its current management team following a successful management buy out in March 2003. Throughout its history Stewart has established a reputation for quality and innovation within its chosen plastics markets. All four of its divisions operate from its BS ISO 9001-2000 accredited manufacturing, warehousing and distribution centre in the south east of England from where we service our customers from around the world. Within the Stewart Company our focus has always been to provide first class product quality and service to our customers in every area of our business. This is achieved by a policy of continuous investment and a commitment to innovation. Although the company dates back over 60 years, today the company is embracing a new era of opportunity and dynamism. Stewart is one of the UK's leading gardening supplies companies. Our gardening range is sold through UK DIY multiple retailers, garden centres and independent hardware and DIY retailers. This division has achieved impressive sales growth since the secondary buy out of some 35%, over half of this growth coming from new lines launched in the last three years. Stewart also commands a dominate position in the homewares and professional catering markets with its range of plastic food storage and preparation products. The homewares range is sold through supermarkets multiples and independent high street retailers whilst Stewarts's catering range is sold through leading wholesalers to the catering and licensed trade as well as cash and carry outlets. In addition to the three divisions mentioned above Stewart exploits its technical expertise and competitive manufacturing facilities through its fourth division, Stewart Solutions which provides a tailor made service to customers seeking promotional and packaging products to meet their specific marketing needs.
